About Call of Duty Black Ops III (PC)
Call of Duty Black Ops III is the thirteenth title of one of the biggest FPS franchises of all time. The series started back in 2003, with Call of Duty 1, released for Playstation 2 and Xbox.
The franchise that released 14 different titles in 12 years, including the also extremely famous Modern Warfare saga, keeps attracting fans and constantly launches games for PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5.
Call of Duty Black Ops III is the successor of Call of Duty Black Ops II, and, like its predecessor, is a really good game that brings the franchise to a futuristic setting.
The Call of Duty Franchise is published by Activation. However, its development is divided between three different companies:
Treyarch is responsible for the World at War and the Black Ops saga, including Black Ops 1, 2, 3, 4, and Cold War.
The revolutionary Modern Warfare saga and Ghosts and Infinite Warfare are the children of Infinity Ward.
The newest member of the trio is Sledgehammer, developer of Advanced Warfare and WWII.
Back in 2010, Treyarch had an unbelievably challenging mission: to develop a game that could keep the level reached by its rival, Infinity Ward, and the Modern Warfare series, that revolutionized the FPS video games.
The CoD Black Ops accomplished the almost impossible mission, holding that immense fan base playing the new title and putting, once and for all, Treyarch and Infinity Ward at the same level in the Activision eyes.
In 2015, CoD Black Ops 3 came with a new mission: put the Treyarch acclaimed series into the whole futurist set that was highly in demand those days, keeping the CoD series alive and well.

Story and Background
Call of Duty Black Ops III campaign takes place more than 40 years in the future, in 2065. At the time, a third Cold War is about to implode between the world’s two great alliances: Winslow Accord and Common Defense Pact. Due to Raul Menendez's doings in Call of Duty Black Ops II events, virtually the entire world developed special energy weapons that make conventional air forces almost useless.
Besides all that, military advances in bio technology are responsible for the creation of a new breed of Black Ops soldier generation. That said, the warfare tactics have all been remodeled to adapt to the technological advances of enemy forces. With a CD Key for Steam, that’s the world where Call of Duty Black Ops III deploys you in.
Gameplay and Mechanics
As it was for all the games of the CoD saga, Black Ops 3 stands out with its fast-paced gameplay style and fluidity unseen in many other FPS. For this 2015 release, Treyarch and Activision came out of the box with a whole new set of movements, allowing every character to explore the map and the entire game with a new set of abilities, like double jump.
The game still follows the traditional FPS style, dividing its weapons into classes, with submachine and shotguns being effective in close range, assault rifles for medium range, and snipers and light machines for long ranges. The game also brings a new set of gears, such as equipment, tactical and lethal grenades, and scorestreaks.
As many games of the franchise, Call of Duty Black Ops III has three unique game modes, campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. The campaign comes with Treyarch excellence signature, every time more immersive and exciting, with significant innovations coming game after game.
The Multiplayer mode presents the game features, including the new movement system, which impacts the entire game. As mentioned before, this system opens huge numbers of new possibilities.
Call of Duty Black Ops III has 10 different game modes. Some of them are:
Search & Destroy
Capture the Flag
Free For All
Diversity of Maps
Call of Duty Black Ops III also has 29 different maps for its most famous game mode. It is important to remind that only 12 of them are available in the standard version of Call of Duty Black Ops III. To get the Nuk3town and the other 16 maps, players must get the season pass or other versions of COD Black Ops III, such as the bonus edition or the deluxe edition. Both of them already come with the season pass included.
Call of Duty Black Ops 3 maps are:
As in Black Ops II, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 marks the return of the pick ten to the create a class function. It was one of the most praised features in the Call of Duty Black Ops 3 predecessor.
Another feature enriching Call of Duty Black Ops 3 is the specialist classes. Each of them comes with a different weapon and ability, giving players the chance to create unique loadouts alongside the Pick Ten System.
What also came back to the thirteenth game of the CoD Franchise is the Call of Duty Black Ops III zombies. The zombies started as only an extra mode that should have worked only as an “easter egg” at Call of Duty World at War.
However, they have quickly gained the community favor, becoming a true phenomenon. Now, it is time to prepare yourself to fight the zombies’ apocalypse and bring the hope of better days to humanity.
Call of Duty Black Ops III zombies come with many new features like weapons, maps, and a whole new storyline for players to explore.
The 2015 release brings the mode to a new level and surely is the most ambitious Call of Duty zombies up to date. Big fans could also go after the Zombies chronicles edition, which brought 8 fully remastered old maps.
As it was in the other games, in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 zombies, players can play solo or in co-op with up to four players, having easter egg missions and different characters, depending on how many players are inside the game.
Counting with Zombies chronicles edition, Call of Duty Black Ops 3 zombies maps are
Ascension (Black Ops 1)
Dead Ops Arcade 2
Kino der Toten (Black Ops 1)
Moon (Black Ops 1)
Natch der Untoten (World at War)
Shadows of Evil
Shangri-la (Black Ops 1)
